Our Mission
​
Our mission is to provide excellent medical care in a family-centered medical home. We have embraced PCMH (Patient Centered Medical Home) accreditation firmly. We enjoy caring for newborns from their birth at the hospital until they are 21 years of age. We strive to build a relationship with the entire family because we believe that supporting parents is the way to raise healthy kids. Our philosophy is shared by all our staff from the physicians to the front desk.
We are committed to continuously educating ourselves so knowledge and compassion can meet to lead to excellent patient care.
Our Team
Souha Hakim, Pediatrician
I graduated from the Univ. of Aleppo in 1987. I did my pediatric residency in Paris, France and Toledo, Ohio, and I've been in practice for 20+ years!
Bilal Assi, M.D.
Bilal is an M.D. who joined the practice in July 2024.
Emily Mattea, NP-PhD
Graduating from Michigan State University, she has always had a passion for working in pediatrics. She worked as a pediatric bedside nurse for 9 years before obtaining her doctorate as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner from the University of Michigan. She joined Dr. Hakim’s practice in the Fall of 2023.

Emily Ballinger, Certified Medical Assistant
I joined the practice in the summer of 2023. I have a passion for pediatrics, and strive to provide professional and personable care for our patients.
Melody Fletcher, Medical Receptionist
I joined the team in 2024. I enjoy working with the patients weather younger or older. I am excited for this new opportunity.
Denise Cross, Medical Assistant, Certified Biller/Coder
Even though I'm in the billing department, I strive to help in all areas that I can as a medical assistant.
